Do you ever feel hopeless?
Like there are no climate solutions that truly work? Or that our capacity to address challenges like mental health, the housing crisis, or the public transportation system feels painfully limited?
Do these issues concern you, and leave you feeling like advocacy alone isn’t enough?
This event is for you.
Register for the London Policy Hackathon, where you’ll collaborate with 2–4 teammates to develop data-based policy solutions for one of four major challenges facing London today.

Instead of building gadgets or apps, the focus is on coming up with practical ideas and solutions such as new rules, programs, or plans. The kicker is that you have just over 24 hours to do it.
This means looking and using real data provided to you and your team to come up with a feasible, implementable policy to address one of four challenges. Challenge topics include environment and climate, mental health, housing, and transportation.

Our goal is to bring together future policymakers, experts, and data enthusiasts to develop informed, innovative public policy solutions that benefit London, Ontario. We seek to address the lack of innovative and entrepreneurial thinking within the realm of public policy, to inspire creative approaches to real-world challenges.
